Erin Smith who is the leader and pro of a GF Meetup Group in NYC, amongst many other groups was diagnosed with CD 30 years ago, prior to the world being so understanding about this lifestyle, illness and diet. I often check out her blog and have attended her meet-ups. She is so inspirational and her blog is great! She always posts great GF events in neighboring areas, discusses her travels, her hardships and great gf books she reads. Her latest post is about a GF event in NJ-actually a weekend of fun! For those of you in Jersey, check this out. Her blog really focuses on Celiac awareness, giveaways, events, books, and keeps you in the loop of events in NYC, Queens, Jersey and various NY based areas. And let's not forget travel out of NY.
In addition, the post I am loving from her blog is called "Confessions of a Celiac". It's a great post. She admits eating gluten and what she did when cheating, and how it is really frowned upon because ingesting gluten for those with Celiac is so dangerous. But like Erin we have all been there, and instead of beating ourselves over this we should learn. Her post is quirky and fun. And I enjoyed it, and related, and I am posting this because I know you will relate too.
So check out Erin's Blog: glutenfreefun.blogspot.com
Enjoy! xoxo Julie
