Gel-Caps are ok. It's the liqui-gels that are not, and they are both different.
When I spoke with Pfizer they said that the gel-caps, tablets, and caplets are all ok. But then again, if you notice a difference in the way you feel, obviously listen to you body.

I've been gf-food & beverage since summer '11 and now wrapping in all products that come in skin contact...experienced symptoms, and research/advice tells that the body, with its integrated immune system, can react to gluten from any source. Actually the original recipe does not, but the chicken flavor does. Regardless, thank you so much for pointing this out! I have spoken on the phone with Near East today and inquired what was gf and they cannot give any kind of list bc there is so much gluten and wheat in their other products that there might be exposure or cross contamination during the processing of the pilaf all flavors, so even though there might not be gluten ingredients Near East cannot confirm bc of processing.

I live in Nice and by far the best place for gluten free, vegetarian and organic food is 'Dame Nature' . It's about ten minutes outside of Nice in St Laurent du Var but well worth the trip. They are very gracious with offering any help they can to diet restrictions and even better, it tastes delicious! Make sure you book because it's super busy.

What a thoughtful and heartfelt blog!! I too am of the tribe, albeit the Mediterranean/Middle Eastern Branch: Sephardim. We are speaking of Moroccan and Lebanese, even Indian Restaurants catering to kosher and gf palates. Glatt kosher not so much. That's how I even survive. I find kosher food has less additives and is much cleaner. I don't digest meat well, but am a big fish and vegetable eater.

IMHO, the way a man reacts to food is the way a man responds to passion. If he's restrictive and doesn't enjoy eating, he's going to be passionless elsewhere. Ugh. You shouldn't have been treated like that, and you are better off not being with someone so restrictive. There should have been a way for both of you to find a common ground. For me, as a Sephardi, middle eastern food is more towards chick peas and stewed meats which are great for our tender tummies. ALL THE BEST TO YOU JULIE THIS 2012!!
