Peanut Butter Smoothie with Benefits (with Video)

Today I shot/filmed my first "How To Make A Green Smoothie" video and posted it to Youtube.  It was really fun!!  I was a little nervous, but enjoyed every minute of it.  I am in LOVE with making smoothies.  My latest and most nutritious healthy hobby!  This is one of my latest creations and tastes soooo good!  Below is the recipe, and here is the link to my super cool demonstration video!

What is so great about this Smoothie is that it is full of veggies!  So you are going to get a lot of nutrients and the peanut butter nut butter protein is going to fill your body with energy!  As a plus it serves 3.  So when I make them I store the leftovers in the fridge and I am set for 3 rounds of a.m. breakfasts!

If you have a Vitamix Blender-you will not have to make this smoothie in steps like I do.  I have your average standard blender-but I create my recipes in baby steps, because the magic my blender can create holds a different capacity.

2 large handfuls organic spinach
1 cup organic celery-chopped
1 cup organic cucumber-chopped
1 cup dairy-free, gluten-free coconut milk
Blend/Liquify.

You will want to blend/liquify this mixture until you have an even green consistency without green particles.

Then add...

a little bit under 1/3 cup of ripe organic avocado
1/3 cup organic, gluten-free, vegan peanut butter (try Once Again)
1 tbsp. dark amber agave nectar
1/2 tsp. organic vanilla extract
Blend/Liquify.

Then add...

1 1/2 frozen organic bananas
a pinch of blackened Hawaiian Sea Salt (or regular Sea Salt)
1/2 cup gluten-free, dairy-free original coconut milk
2 tbsp. cocoa powder (feel free and swap in Raw Cacao Powder)
1/2-1tsp. Chia Seeds
Blend/Liquify.

Then add...

6-8 ice cubes

Blend and enjoy!

Serves 3.

**Frozen Bananas.  Simply peel your ripe bananas and put them in a zip lock bag, and freeze them.  You can keep these frozen for a few weeks.

**You can sub in Almond Milk.

**Run out of Peanut Butter?  Just use Organic No Sugar, No Salt Sunflower Seed Butter.

Enjoy! xoxo Julie
